The Artist

Audrey Miller is a 45-year-old American Designer and Pattern Artist.

Daughter of a ceramic artist, her mother’s early passing when she was 6 years old had a life-long impact on the exploration of her creativity, leading her to design a fashion line at 11 years old, win art and photography contests, and have her art displayed in local museums by 17.

Born in Louisiana, her fascination with the art of Native Americans and then ancient civilizations led her to discover Islamic Art. She studied Interior Design at SCAD, Savannah College of Art and Design.

After a decade with her own design firm in the US and a decade of travelling to the Middle East, she moved to Syria in 2008 where she spent 3 years researching Ancient Ornamentation and Islamic Geometric design.

She then moved to Dubai in 2011 to continue her Interior Design and art career, becoming the Project Coordinator for the Private Office of HH the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and then the regional Managing Director for Eight Inc.

Her geometric designs have also adorned Islamic prayer spaces throughout the UAE and beyond since 2012.

Audrey returned to art in January 2021 as part of her recovery from a traumatic brain injury that left her with a yearning to reconnect with her uniqueness and the world in her most authentic way.

Combining her love of geometry, a contemporary American heritage and years of experience in the Middle East, Audrey uses art to nurture the appreciation of patterns in the hearts of others.

Audrey has lived in Dubai since 2011, is a convert to Islam and a single mother to 6 children.
